The City of Pleasanton’s Library and Recreation Department outreach vehicle, Zippy, is scheduled to visit Ridgeview Commons Senior Community on Thursday, November 5. The event is designed to connect seniors with books, recreation programs, and local community resources.
Event Details
The gathering will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ridgeview Commons Senior Community, located at 5200 Case Ave in Pleasanton. Attendees are encouraged to participate in crafts and learn more about available Library and Recreation programs tailored for older adults.
This initiative aims to foster community connections by bringing services directly to senior living facilities. Zippy serves as a mobile extension of the city’s public services, allowing residents to access materials and information without traveling to a central location.
For residents interested in future stops, the full schedule for Zippy’s visits is available online at bit.ly/zippyvisits. Additional updates regarding Library and Recreation activities can be found on Instagram @Pleasantonlibandrec or Facebook at www.facebook.com/PleasantonLibraryandRecreation.
The project was supported in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library. Supplemental funding for this initiative was provided by the Black Gold Cooperative Library System and the Friends of the Pleasanton Library.
