Giants' Early Surge
Willy Adames provided the offensive spark for San Francisco, contributing significantly to a four-run first inning that set the tone for the game. Adames doubled to left field, driving in two runs, and later scored on a double by Elias Díaz. The Giants added another run when Díaz grounded into a fielder’s choice, allowing Miguel Cabrera to score. San Francisco took a 4-0 lead before Colorado could respond.
The Rockies finally got on the board in the same inning when Randal Grichuk homered to left field, scoring two runs to make it 4-2. However, the Giants’ offense remained potent. Adames scored again on a single by Díaz, extending the lead to 5-2. The Giants pushed their advantage further in the third inning when Díaz hit a home run to right center, making the score 6-2.

Robbie Ray was the standout pitcher for San Francisco, earning the win (8-6). Ray pitched six innings, allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out four batters. He was supported by the Giants' bullpen, with Sam Hentges and Dylan Smith each pitching a scoreless inning. Caleb Kilian closed out the game with a save (8), pitching a perfect ninth inning despite allowing two hits.
For Colorado, Sean Sullivan took the loss (0-3) after giving up six earned runs on 12 hits in 5.2 innings. He was relieved by Juan Mejia, Antonio Senzatela, and Jordan Romano, who combined to pitch 3.1 innings without allowing any further runs. Romano struck out two batters in his inning of work.
