Jed York, the owner of the San Francisco 49ers, was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, over the weekend. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. Following his arrest on Sunday, York was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
In court on Monday morning, York was sentenced to one day in jail for both offenses, which will be served concurrently. He was credited with one day served and fined $1,150. Initially charged with engaging in prostitution, the charges were later amended to disorderly conduct.
As part of the plea agreement, $160 seized during the arrest will be donated to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, and York completed an online course.
The 49ers and the NFL did not respond to requests for comment regarding the incident. York, 46, took over the day-to-day operations of the 49ers in 2008 and became the principal owner in 2024. Under his leadership, the team has been a consistent playoff contender, making it to the Super Bowl three times since his tenure began.
